JUAN JAVIER DIAZ

Javier Diaz is a freelance photographer who works on artistic projects as well as commercials. He was born in Cordoba, Argentina and now lives in Los Angeles, California. His experience as a photographer has been shaped and influenced by his other vocation as a filmmaker.

In 2000, Javier finished his undergraduate degree in Fine Arts at the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba, Argentina, and soon thereafter he moved to La Paz, Bolivia where he worked on several film and television productions. Mr. Diaz had a permanent teaching position at a local university where he taught photography and design. He also studied literature at the Universidad Mayor de San Andres in La Paz and participated in different seminars related to topics such as Cultural Management, Magical Realism, Acting, Narration, and Marketing.

After returning to Cordoba, Argentina in 2006, he was involved in developing film projects. Some of these projects received honorable mentions and awards from Asociación Nueva Mirada, Kodak, Cinecolor, FESAALP Festival of Audiovisual Arts - La Plata, Argentina, UNCIPAR, among others.

In 2009, he moved to Los Angeles, California and since then has been working as a photographer, which is his true passion.
